Syndeo Staffing has a direct hire opportunity for a full-time Warehouse Driver for a local industrial service and equipment company. The Warehouse Driver will also have Shipping and Receiving responsibilities and is accountable for the day-to-day flow of inbound and outbound items, merchandise, and products required to service both internal and external customers. Background check and DOT screening will be required for this role.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Reports to: Parts Manager

Pay: $16-$21 - based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for verifying incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment.
• Verifying quantity and weight of items, vendor information, packing lists, bills of lading, purchase orders, invoices, and other records per our SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). Also verifies serial numbers on items requiring serial numbers.
• Determines cost effective method for shipping by utilizing proper shipping procedures, routes and rates.
• Ensures merchandise is secure. This person assembles wooden, or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers for best shipping method. Inserts items in containers using spacers, fillers and protective padding. Nail containers on wooden crates or binds containers with metal straps.
• Examine incoming shipments, records shortages and keeping detailed information of correspondence with the shipper. Inspect freight for damages and communicate any damages to supervisor.
• Loads all shipments in advance of freight line pick-up. Maintain inventory levels, perform cycle counts, keeps warehouse clean, swept and orderly.
• Operates forklift for unloading and loading trucks.
• Completes daily UPS and other shipping/receiving reports. Follows all safety codes. Works open, purchase order report a minimum of every two weeks.
• Picks up and/or delivers merchandise as requested.
• Always puts safety and compliance first, both within the warehouse but also knowledgeable of our customers' requirements for safety when they are receiving our merchandise.
• Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software.
• Assist in other areas needed and performs other duties as needed.

Notes: This position will require monthly OTR driving, forklift and pallet jack, and is a smoke free environment.
