JOB SUMMARY:
To perform the routine and repetitive operations to produce production parts utilizing CNC Lathe-Mill Turns. May be required to work with higher-grade Machinists while in training.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs any function with assistance from assigned worker or groups, such as cleaning work benches, workplace, equipment, parts and assemblies; feeding; machine set up, loading or unloading machines; moving and storing parts; supplying worker or group with tools and inspection gages, parts materials and supplies, or doing other work related to running CNC Lathe-Mill Turns and producing parts.
• May require the use of simple hand tools and measuring devices.
• Required to pull blueprints and assist with tool setup.
• Requires deburring of high tolerance and complex machining components.
• Performs other related duties as required.
• Responsible only for own work.
EDUCATION:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification AND a vocational certificate / diploma related to CNC machining. Must satisfactorily complete the Machine Opr C-CNC Mill Turn checklist within ninety (90) days of entering the classification.
EXPERIENCE:
No experience required but must possess the vocational certificate/diploma outlined in education.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Typical machine shop working conditions with occasional exposure to coolant and noise.
