Education

Currently enrolled in a master's level mental health clinical program and actively working towards internship hour requirements under accredited supervision.

Experience

Preferred candidates have three to five years of experience working with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), serious mental illness (SMI), or seriously emotionally disturbed (SED) populations. Experience with diverse and high-risk client groups and integrated care approaches is highly valued.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of various therapeutic models and ability to apply them effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and clinical documentation software.
  • Completion of all necessary trainings to deliver specialized care, including Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) certification.
  • Valid driver's license and successful background checks.
Preferred Skills
  • Training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other evidence-based practices.
  • Substance Use Disorder licensure is a plus.

Role Overview: Under supervision, provide outpatient behavioral health treatment including individual, family, and group therapy. Collaborate compassionately and culturally responsively with clients to develop tailored treatment plans. Conduct intakes, diagnostic assessments, and mental status exams, updating as needed. Participate in crisis intervention and safety planning alongside clinical staff. Engage in care coordination with clients, families, treatment teams, and community agencies. Document services thoroughly and participate in ongoing training and supervision to enhance therapeutic skills.
