Description:

Food Service Position

Position requires working within the arena environment and preparing food items. Requires good customer service skills, positive attitude, knowledge of food service and food preparation. Responsibilities include: preparing recipes as directed, measuring ingredients, washing and peeling ingredients, cutting and portioning meat, preparing different types of food, accepting or rejecting ingredients from food suppliers, keeping track of ingredient quantities, storing ingredients, cleaning and sanitizing working surfaces, directing food temperature, maintaining safe working conditions, and following rules and regulations of the Food & Beverage department. Regular attendance is essential. Position requires the ability to work at all Legends Global venues in Wichita and Andover. Other duties as assigned.

Reports to Executive Chef in appropriate uniform, for assigned location. Follows all rules and regulations which apply to Food and Beverage.

Qualifications include prior catering or kitchen work in food service, basic math, ability to follow directions, positive attitude, neat appearance, ability to speak and understand English, and attendance at all training for Food and Beverage department and within the venue.

Education and/or experience: High School Diploma or GED, prior work in kitchen, food preparation, preferred. Skills and abilities include strong knowledge of sanitary practices, knowledge of food storage and temperature, ability to read and follow recipes and directions, maintains proper grooming and dress code standards, work ethic encourages strong urgency and quality in a team environment, ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks, and attention to detail.

Other qualifications include the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. Physical demands include stooping, lifting up to 45 lbs., substantial standing and walking, hand and finger dexterity to use knife to chop, dice, prep food, and open containers and close containers, and may need to enter walk-in refrigerator or freezer and be capable of handling the change in temperature.
