Data Warehouse Administrator
The Data Warehouse Administrator is responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting the enterprise data warehouse environment to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability. This role plays a critical part in the data lifecycleoverseeing ETL development, maintaining data integrity, and enabling enterprise reporting and analytics.
The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, and ETL processes, along with a strong understanding of enterprise reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, and WebFOCUS. Experience with REST and SOAP APIsincluding integrating data from platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Workday.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise data warehouse environments to ensure availability, scalability, and performance.
- Design, develop, and support ETL workflows using SSIS and other Microsoft BI components.
- Manage data integrations via APIs (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) to extract and transform data from systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, Workday, and other enterprise applications.
- Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency across multiple data sources and systems.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define and implement data models, schemas, and transformation logic.
- Create, schedule, and monitor data pipelines to meet SLA and performance targets.
- Support enterprise reporting and analytics through tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, and WebFOCUS.
- Implement best practices for data governance, metadata management, and security.
- Troubleshoot ETL and API integration issues, monitor system performance, and support production releases.
- Document data flows, integration logic, and APIs to ensure maintainability and compliance.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience administering or developing enterprise data warehouse environments.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, and ETL development.
- Strong experience with Microsoft BI stack (SSAS, SSRS, Power BI).
- Hands-on experience working with REST/SOAP APIs for data integration and automation.
- Experience building and maintaining dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, or WebFOCUS.
- Strong SQL scripting and performance tuning skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, and Workday data models or API frameworks.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or other cloud-based data solutions.
- Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages for automation and API integration.
- Understanding of DevOps and source control tools (Git, Azure DevOps).
- Exposure to data governance, metadata management, and data security frameworks.
