F&B (Food And Beverage) Supervisor

This is a working supervisor position responsible for menu planning, food preparation, food service, cleaning and sanitation, quality assurance, monitoring of performance, and the implementation of consistent employee training and the overall administration of activities. Responsible for the administration of all beverage team members to ensure proper and efficient beverage service to all guests.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  1. Interviews, hires, evaluates performance, trains and orients new team members.
  2. Sets schedules and job duties while maintaining hours for proper staffing.
  3. Responsible for labor and food/beverage cost.
  4. Orders food, and supplies and maintains pars for stock inventory control.
  5. Complies with all food and beverage health, liquor and safety regulations as well as federal, state and local applicable laws.
  6. Deal tactfully with guests when handling unexpected situations, finding solutions that ensure customer satisfaction with minimal financial impact on F&B operation.
  7. Is a team member with Kitchen Staff, EVS, Casino Host and Marketing in producing a smoothly and efficiently run event.
  8. Communicates effectively with co-workers, management and guests.
  9. May be required to perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or GED and 3-5 years progressively demanding food service experience with at least 2 years of supervisory experience required.
  2. Solid understanding of restaurant and catering operations.
  3. Must have the ability to develop operating budgets, forecasting, employee development training and scheduling.
  4. Must be reliable, punctual and cooperative with co-workers and managers.
  5. Maintain a professional and even tempered demeanor in a high stress environment.

Language and communication skills:

  • Speak and communicate effectively with individuals and before groups of people.
  • Ability to verbally communicate using appropriate English standards of language.

Mathematical skills:

  • Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.

Licensing:

  • Must be able to qualify for any and all licenses or permits required by local, State, Federal and/or Wyandotte Nation law.

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry 50lbs in emergency situations.
  • Ability to function in a smoking environment.
  • Employee smoking is restricted to outside location and during break times.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise levels in the work environment are constant.
  • Ascend/descend flights of stairs to access office and break areas throughout work day.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for entirety of shift as required to conduct normal assigned duties.
  • Efficiently function in an environment with blinking/blinding lights.
