Job Details

Assembly Mechanic. Responsibilities. Use hand tools such as drill motors, hand squeeze riveters, pneumatic riveters, wrenches, and screwdrivers. Inspect parts and completed assemblies to ensure quality. Read and interpret blueprints to follow customer specifications. Drill and countersink holes for the installation of riveted nut plates, bolts, and fasteners. Install bushings and bearings, including the use of staking, arbor press, and hydraulic press. Operate manual machines like Bridgeport and lathes to complete assembly tasks. Mix and apply aircraft sealants including fay, fillet, and shank sealing. Essential Skills. Proficiency with sheet metal, blueprint reading, and nuts and sealing. At least 1 year of experience working with bearings and nut plates.
