Receiving Inspector (OP/Material/Hardware)

Purpose

Communicates and resolves Quality related issues in a fast paced manufacturing environment by performing receiving inspections as necessary. Supports the Quality and Manufacturing functions by ensuring that the products procured meet quality standards required and maximize customer satisfaction while ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to. Follows the quality management system designated work instruction and procedures to ensure quality product is manufactured.

Education and Experience

• Preferred 1 year of knowledge and experience in a Quality Assurance role with product acceptance authority
• Experience in comparing and validating products and paperwork to purchase order requirements

Position Responsibilities

• Provide training, learning and development where appropriate for all employees
• Monitoring the status of received purchase orders to ensure on time delivery of all materials/services, including timely resolution, communication, and mitigation of future problems
• Partner with other departments to ensure adherence to the Quality Management System and other compliance requirements.
• Collaborates with operations, leaders, purchasing, customer service and others to efficiently meet customer demand.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact and deal with internal customers
• Inspects and evaluates products for quality and defects.
• Provide visibility to supervision of potential quality issues, as well as input on internal perceptions associated with Quality and Delivery performance.
• Works with Manufacturing, Supply Chain/Procurement and Quality Assurance personnel to perform in process review and assure best practices are followed.
• Performs other related duties, as required
• Ensures products received meet all customer requirements and Purchase Order requirements

Tasks

• Has the capability to troubleshoot complex and questionable inspections by asking the right questions to get to the root cause of the problem
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and shifting time requirements.
• Makes decisions based on customer/regulatory and Quality Management System requirements
• Confer with organizational team members at all levels to discuss issues, coordinate activities or resolve problems.
• Act as liaison between organization and outside organizations.
• Work closely with shop floor supervision and employees
• Perform receiving inspections
• Complete detailed and accurate checklists to ensure product quality
• Ability to pass an eye exam
