Job Details

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties. Responsibilities may include building, installing and maintaining equipment, performing preventative maintenance and repairs and applying knowledge in a variety of skilled trade areas.

Essential Functions: (essential functions, including how an individual is to perform them and frequency at which tasks are performed; the tasks must be part of the job function and truly necessary or required to perform the job)

• Installs, maintains and repairs machines and equipment in plant and related facilities
• Performs a variety of preventative maintenance on parts, pumps, motors, hydraulic systems and related plant and facility equipment.
• Performs a variety of maintenance requiring knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, carpentry, electrical, electronics, welding and other skilled trades as appropriate or applicable.
• Operates a variety of hand and power tools, equipment, and machinery in the maintenance repair, and fabrication of parts, machines and equipment.
• Completes work orders and paperwork regarding daily maintenance and repair duties
• Assists with contractors and subcontractors
• Ensures compliance with operating policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment and efficient operations; may require wearing appropriate safety equipment and gear
• Assists with maintaining a safe and clean work environment and may perform various janitorial or housekeeping tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Korn Ferry Competencies:

Required:

• Good knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and overall general maintenance
• High mechanical ability
• PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) experience
• At least one year of HVAC experience
• At least one year of Pneumatic experience
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• MIG & TIG Welding experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word & Excel
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Good troubleshooter
• Excellent verbal/ written communication and customer service skills
• Solid work ethic with a commitment to consistent on-time work attendance

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Outlook or other e-mail system
• Master Plumber and/or Master Electrician

Required education and experience: (education and experience based on requirements that are job-related and consistent with business necessity)

• High school diploma or GED or trade school certification or certificate program completion
• Minimum of five years of experience in a maintenance role in an industrial/ manufacturing environment

Preferred education and experience: (preferred education and experience based on requirements that are job related and consistent with business necessity)

Additional eligibility qualifications: (additional requirements such as certifications, industry-specific experience and the experience working with certain equipment)

• Valid Driver's License
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain a US Passport

Physical Demands/ Equipment used to perform the job:

• Ability to lift, place, carry and push objects up to 50lbs or more
• Able to climb a ladder
• Ability to operate hand tools and power tools
• Must be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, crawl or stoop for long periods of time
• Must be able to work in an uncontrolled environment; in outdoor elements
