Summary: Set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and multi-axis CNC machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts to customer specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Change out and set up tools
Operate multi-axis machines
Dimensionally check parts (up to CMM)
Read programs and make minor speeds and feeds program changes
Verify tool lengths and cutter run outs
Trouble shoot jobs
Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts
Accept and adapt easily to change
Ensures that all activities are consistent with Company Mission Statement
Operates job-related equipment with or without an accommodation
Meets physical demands of job with or without an accommodation
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Technical school certification preferred, high school diploma or GED preferred
1+ year experience
Proficient using precision measure tools, GD&T, and shop math
Blueprint reading
Understand and interpret customer specifications
Familiar with G and M programming codes
Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisors direction; and taking responsibility for own actions
Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed, and perform work independently without being prompted
Ability to manage competing priorities, prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and work within deadlines
Read, write, and speak English fluently
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement)
