Diagnose and repair heavy and light construction equipment in the field, including loaders, excavators, skid steers, telehandlers, and trucks.
Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using proper diagnostic tools.
Communicate effectively with superintendents and shop personnel regarding equipment status and needs.
Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
Ensure safe work practices and maintain a clean and organized service truck and work area.
Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
CDL preferred but not required.
Previous experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, field technician, or similar role.
Strong mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics, electrical systems, diesel engines, and welding/fabrication skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic software.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
