PURPOSE OF POSITION: Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing fundraising and internal events of various sizes and complexities that support Goodwill Industries of Kansas' mission to provide opportunities for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment and education. This role will manage all aspects of event logistics including post-event evaluation and work closely with the Director of Donor Relations to maximize donor engagement and sponsorship development. Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills are required to meet deadlines and execute a flawless event. This position also works closely with clients, vendors, volunteers, and cross-departmental team members to ensure events are successful.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or GED, vocational training or college preferred. Some fundraising experience preferred.
- 2+ years of event planning, production and/or coordination.
- Clerical and word processing experience is required. Experience with Raiser's Edge or similar donor management software programs, online auction software, and Canva. Knowledge of office machines, databases, Microsoft Windows/Office Suite required.
- Valid driver's license.

- Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize.

- Must be able to work with volunteers, board members, clients, and organizations. Able to lift 40-50 pounds and able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.

JOB COMPETENCIES:Maintains event management and donor software. Creates annual giving correspondence for event donors. Ability to prioritize tasks and projects. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Develop, prepare, and execute all aspects of internal special events.
- Guide, support, and execute all external fundraising events, including coordination of venue reservations, catering, vendors, and volunteers.
- Utilize digital tools to track all aspects of special events, including reservations, ticket sales, auction bidding, etc.
- Create reports to support fundraising strategies, campaign performance, and donor retention efforts.
- Proficient in digital tools to ensure accuracy of donor records and files and to produce necessary reports and information, including timely acknowledgements and receipts.
- Proactively communicate and correspond with event vendors, attendees, and sponsors.
- Support post-event analysis and reporting to evaluate success and inform future efforts.
- Work closely with Director of Donor & Board Relations, Marketing, and other departments to align donor strategies with organizational goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for the execution of revenue generating events and recording donations.
- Conduct initial internal client meetings to determine event objectives and create a project or event plan.
- Lead the development of event concepts and themes.
- Guide the team in creating event plans and timelines.
- Develop relationships and schedule event-focused vendor and partner meetings.
- Direct event logistics, including event setup, food and beverage service, and breakdown.
- Build guest lists intentionally to align with each event's goals and our long-term relationship strategy.
- Collaborate with the Director of Donor and Board Relations to recruit and manage event volunteers as necessary.
