Ironworker Foreman

We are seeking a dedicated Ironworker Foreman who is open to learning and eager to master all aspects of the job. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to read tape measures and blueprints and be comfortable working in outdoor elements, including dirty and dusty environments. A proactive approach to asking questions and learning the ropes is essential.

Responsibilities

• Work around cranes and rig I-beams.
• Engage in tasks involving structural steel to support buildings.
• Connect I-beams to columns.
• Work comfortably at heights while ensuring safety by being tied off, often on a scissor lift.
• Use power tools, torches, hot saws, tape measures, and basic iron-working tools proficiently.
• Safely operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telescoping forklifts.
• Lift up to 100 pounds with repeated bending, lifting, twisting, and climbing.
• Read and interpret blueprints and layout designs.

Essential Skills

• Experience as a construction general laborer, ironworker, or structural steel worker.
• Proficiency in stick welding (3g, 4g, and potentially 1g certifications).
• Ability to work with structural steel and iron.
• Comfort with working outdoors and in dirty/dusty conditions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Certified welder with experience in labor work.
• Familiarity with MIG and GMAW welding processes.
