JOB DESCRIPTION:

Skills Desired:

. Experience in administering Windows 2000/2003/2008/2012 Servers. Windows 2016 server would be an added advantage .

2. Configuring different Storage devices to help Clients to Backup their Data in the most efficient way , that will help them to Restore the Mission Critical Data as and when required .

3. Installations& Configurations of Backup master and media servers.

4. Implementation of Backup in a Cluster Environment .

5. Implementation of Backup in a SAN environment .

6. Configuration of different types of Robotic Library .Configuring Storage Units , Volume Pools & Disk Staging .

7. Designing Policies.

8. Multi-streaming and Multiplexing.

9. Media and Device Management.

10. Taking ORACLE and SAP specific backups.

11. Catalog Consistency Check.

12. NDMP Configuration..

13. Configuration & troubleshooting VMware Consolidated backups

14. Tuning for slow Backups.

15. Helping the client to install, configure and troubleshoot backup job definitions,

16. Assisting the customer in configuring netback up and media manager on various Unix flavors like Linux,HP-UX, and Windows.

17. Configuring and troubleshooting Robotic Libraries and Tape drives for backups connected using SCSI/Fiber optic, Installation various UNIX platforms like Solaris, Linux and Windows Platform.

18. Helping Clients patch up their edition to the latest patch level to resolve the discrepancies with the previous edition/patch level.

19. Client environment involves heterogeneous SAN configuration including NetApp Filers VTL drives, VmWare Servers, etc. along with Shared Drives utilizing NetBackup SSO.

The candidate should have practical experience in Storage and Backup.

Passionate, Self-motivated and driven, with keen attention to detail, action-and-results oriented.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills as well as strong logical, analytical, problem solving skills and reporting skills.

Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced environment.
