Nesco Resource has partnered with a leading healthcare management organization in its pursuit to hire a Director of Internal Audit. This position is based in Melville, NY. This role is responsible for directing the planning, performance, and reporting of audits and reviews focused on operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities of the Director of Internal Audit:

• Lead and manage the internal audit function and annual audit work plan
• Plan, execute, and report on operational and regulatory compliance audits
• Prepare audits subject to OIG and OMIG review
• Collaborate with Compliance Officers on compliance-related audits
• Oversee medical record and coding audits; provide feedback and education to physicians
• Prepare audit reports for Executive Management and the CFO
• Serve as a liaison with physicians and cross-functional departments
• Participate in risk assessments and corrective action planning
• Lead, mentor, and develop internal audit staff

Qualifications of the Director of Internal Audit:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• 5-7 years of healthcare auditing experience
• 10+ years of supervisory/leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-9/10, CMS guidelines, and healthcare compliance regulations
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Salary: $150,000
