job summary:
This is a 3-month, fully remote undergraduate summer internship based out of Philadelphia, PA, offering a pay rate of $30/hr. The role is designed to provide students in life sciences, pharmacy, or nursing programs with hands-on exposure to Pharmacovigilance (PV), Drug Safety, and Regulatory processes.

As a member of the Medical Safety team, the intern will support medical safety scientists and physicians in critical patient safety activities, including signal management, risk management, and periodic safety reporting. Key responsibilities involve conducting literature searches, organizing medical safety documents, and optimizing the team's SharePoint site. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively in a remote environment while assisting with data organization and the preparation of safety management presentations.

responsibilities:

  • Support Medical Safety team in routine safety activities.
  • Support Medical Safety team with optimization of team's SharePoint site.
  • Assist in literature searches and data organization of Medical Safety owned documents.
  • Help prepare summaries or presentations for Safety Management Team meetings.
  • Contribute to quality checks and document management for periodic safety reports.
  • Participate in team discussions to learn about safety strategies and regulatory requirements.
qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree Program
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program in life sciences (e.g. biology, biochemistry, etc.), pharmacy, nursing, public health, or related field.
  • Completed at least one (1) year of coursework.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Interest in healthcare, life sciences, or PV.
Preferred:

  • Completed at least two (2) years of coursework.
