Role Overview

Under the leadership of the Director of Business Intelligence Data Engineering & Automation, this position is primarily responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Enterprise Analytics consumption data layers including modular / functional datasets forspecific domains (e.g., claims, authorizations, etc.). You will also develop solutions and frameworks for provisioning data for self-service consumption by business users who create BI applications, as well as support production reporting environments (including performance tuning, version control, and documentation).

Work Arrangement

  • This is a 100% Remote position but you must live in EST or CST time zones
Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and train a team of dedicated analytics engineers
  • Consistently deliver quality and timely data
  • Increase automation across the Enterprise Analytics team
  • Develop high quality automated testing solutions
  • Create and coordinate workflows to ensure seamless data operations working primarily in an Azure Databricks environment
  • Utilize Azure DevOps (boards & git repos) for version control and to track new work, enhancements, and bugs
  • Partner with product owners to deliver quality customer service which leads to increased utilization and engagement with the data and solutions we provide
  • Participate in code reviews and provide guidance regarding best practices
  • Identify interdependencies, ambiguities or omissions and make suggestions to improve requirements and ensure usability and testability
  • Learn rapidly and enthusiastically, focusing on understanding the application/product/business area in detail
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Two to three (2 - 3) years of previous management experience preferred
  • Three to five (3 - 5) years' experience with cloud data technologies such as Azure Databricks (preferred) plus experience with traditional RDMS such as Oracle and MS SQL Server
  • Five to eight (5-8) years of experience in the healthcare industry
  • Experience with the unique challenges of testing data pipelines and ability to build automated testing solutions
  • Efficiently manages time-based on the continual evaluation of priorities, meets deadlines with high-quality deliverables reflecting a complete understanding of expectations, able to multi-task
