Job Description

Director of Finance - Responsible for the financial reporting of 4 entities. Saint Luke's Physician Group, Heart Surgeons of Kansas City, Rockhill Orthopaedic Specialists, & Advanced Urologic Associates. This position is also responsible for theeffective supervision and operation of the Finance department.

The Director of Finance leader will have 4 direct reports. 1 manager and 3 Sr. Financial Analysts.

Essential accountabilities

• Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
• Assists leadership and departments in understanding the financial performance of the organization, using financial data to assist in making operational decisions.
• Ensures the timely completion and analysis of the monthly financial results for the organization.
• Oversee the preparation and development of operating and capital budgets, as well as the long range financial plan.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

Position requirements

The Director of Finance will have the following combination of skills and experience:

• Minimum of 6-9 years of experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field
• Comfortable working in a complex matrix organization.
• Strong sense of mission and an active, engaged leadership style.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to partner with executive and system leadership in strategic and tactical planning and implementation.
• Highly successful in driving change within an organization.
