Title: Head of Data and Engineering
Location: Minneapolis/St. Paul (On-site 4 days per week)

Position Details: The Head of Data and Engineering leader will support our financial services client as they execute on technical strategy in 2026 and beyond. Leading a team of approximately eight contributors (consultants and data/analytics engineers), you will be responsible for:
• Leading the organization's data strategy, governance, and advanced analytics initiatives
• Driving data-driven decision-making
• Ensuring data quality and enabling scalable analytics solutions to support business objectives

Key Requirements include:

- Demonstrated, hands on experience with Data Architecture, Data Modeling and knowledge of software application development

- Hands on experience and expertise in AWS, Snowflake, Airflow, SQL, Python, CICD, Github and knowledge of alternative investing (ideal)

- Proven expertise integrating software engineering best practices into work flow integration across an entire team including: CICD, Github

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (Master's preferred)

- 10+ years of experience in data management, analytics, and leadership roles.

- Proven expertise in data architecture, cloud platforms (AWS) and big data technologies

- Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and security best practices

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills:

o Experience with machine learning, AI, and predictive analytics

o Knowledge of modern DataOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data workflows

o Ability to drive cultural change towards data-driven decision-making
