Healthcare Call Center Representative

The Healthcare Call Center Representative assists healthcare providers-including doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies-with prescription approvals for insured patients. The role starts with processing inbound faxes to verify prescription informationand progresses to handling provider inquiries via phone in a call center environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review inbound faxes from healthcare providers regarding prescription coverage requests
• Verify that all required information (e.g., provider details, patient data, medication dosage) is complete
• Accurately enter prescription request details into the system for coverage determination
• Handle inbound phone calls from providers to collect and verify prescription information (approximately 20 calls per day)
• Maintain professionalism and clear communication while assisting providers
• Ensure accuracy by following structured processes and reviewing member information for discrepancies

Qualifications:

• 6+ months of customer service experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or insurance-related customer service roles
• Strong verbal communication skills to interact professionally with healthcare providers
• High attention to detail for verifying prescription and patient information accurately
• Ability to attend on-site training just south of Boston, MA
