Position Overview

Complete Tax, a leading tax preparation company, is seeking experienced Tax Preparers to join our team as Tax Return Reviewers/Approvers. This seasonal role involves reviewing, approving, and filing tax returns prepared from data collected from off-site locations, ensuring accuracy and completeness before final submission. The position is non-customer facing and is ideal for detail-oriented tax professionals with strong analytical skills.

You will collaborate closely with Complete Tax's Customer Service Representatives to address escalated tax-related inquiries from off-site locations. This role requires a thorough understanding of tax preparation and strong communication skills to provide accurate guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, prepare, and file tax returns to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with Complete Tax Customer Service Representatives to address and resolve escalated tax-related inquiries from off-site locations including any discrepancies or incomplete information on tax returns.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Utilize company-provided software to access, review, and file tax return data efficiently.
• Ensure all tax returns meet the company's quality standards and are prepared for final submission.
• Assist in the continuous improvement of review processes and contribute to team meetings with constructive feedback.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Drake tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Reliable internet connection and the ability to maintain a secure, distraction-free workspace.
• Willingness to work seasonal hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Must have PTIN or eligible to receive

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Position requires sitting at a desk and working on a computer for extended periods.
• The use of a headset or other communication devices may be necessary for effective collaboration with team members.
• Will require working weekends and some Holidays.
