About the Project:
You'll help build scalable, Java-based applications deployed on AWS using both containerized and serverless architectures. Your AWS DevOps experience will be critical in setting up and managing infrastructure with IaC and CI/CD best practices.
Position: Senior Java Developer (Hybrid - Raleigh, NC)
Type: Contract - Backfill (Interviews Friday!)
Work Mode: 2 days onsite per week
We're hiring a Senior Java Developer with 8-14 years of experience to join a fast-paced development team. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring core backend development skills and strong AWS expertise.
Key Skills Required:
- Core Java development (hands-on)
- Strong experience with AWS services: ECS, EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions
- AWS DevOps tools: CloudFormation (CFT), Route 53, Jenkins, deployment pipelines
- Experience leading agile teams (6-8 people) - no direct reports
- Familiarity with payment processing systems and transaction integration is a big plus
- Understanding of messaging queues and open-source tools
