Entry level Cloud Engineer

Client: Peraton

Location: REMOTE

Pay rate: Do not exceed $40/hr (+$5 referral)

Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 2+ years of Cloud Engineering experience or High School Diploma and 5+ years' experience
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, containerized application design, performance monitoring and optimization, high availability, disaster recovery, data infrastructure, security, and systems integration.
• Proficiency with Python, Bash scripting, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS services (EC2, EKS, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, S3, etc.), and infrastructure as code tools (Ansible, Terraform).
• Experience with security monitoring tools (AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Tenable Nessus).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus) and system monitoring tools (Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, CloudWatch).
• Knowledge of supporting Java/Spring Boot-based microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum) and tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Proven track record of innovation and continuous improvement.

• AWS Certification
• SAFe Agile Certification
• Experience in Healthcare IT and understanding of regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
• Experience and/or knowledge of Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) processes and standards.
