Overview:

This position provides expert database administration services for the complex Oracle Exadata Cloud @ customer environment for the professional application development and end-user database environments at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). The Oracle DBA will participate in projects from genesis through completion and maintenance, requiring a strong understanding of data management principles and techniques as it relates to performance tuning, backup & recovery, and the ability to work in a team.

The Oracle DBA will also provide technical consulting support for the management, control, tuning, design, upgrading and installation of Oracle database systems. This position serves as the technical consultant to review and verify the technical feasibility and integration of new database technologies and the applications that use them.

Top Skills & Years of Experience:

• Extensive experience administering Oracle Enterprise edition databases and/or Oracle Multitenant in Exadata Cloud @ customer environment
• 6+ years' experience performing database backup/recovery and performance tuning
• Experience providing consultation on database design/standards and leading teams to implement database solutions

• Experience with Oracle system architecture
• Experience with SQL and/or PL/SQL tuning
• Experience with SQL Server Database Administration
