Description - What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct both standard and specialized laboratory tests-ranging from chemistry and hematology to immunology-while adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure the reliability of results through careful analysis, troubleshooting discrepancies, and performing regular maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
- Support specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as required.
- Keep detailed records of procedures, train incoming personnel or interns, and help maintain high-quality lab standards.
- Uphold a safe and clean work environment while adhering to all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent allied health degree, plus preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.
- Obtaining ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within one year of employment is required.
- Maintain current certification for the duration of your employment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for effective teamwork within the healthcare setting.
- Able to utilize independent judgment and solve problems, particularly in demanding or fast-paced environments.
- Exemplary organizational skills and a keen attention to detail, especially related to quality control and documentation.
