Akkodis is seeking an Azure Automation Engr for a Contract with a client in Montvale, NJ(Remote). The ideal candidates have deep experience in automation engineering across identity platforms and enterprise cloud environments.
Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Azure Automation Engr job responsibilities include:
- Design and implement endtoend automation solutions for IAM services (e.g., certificate lifecycle, user/object management, B2B, Entra/AD, native groups) using PowerShell, .NET, and Bicep.
- Manage the full automation lifecycle-scheduling, orchestrating, monitoring, and maintaining scripts/tools across multiple apps and environments.
- Build performanceoptimized, secure, and reusable automation modules with proper logging, error handling, and version control (e.g., Git/Azure Repos).
- Collaborate with product management, QA, and operations to integrate automations seamlessly into production and support release readiness.
- Define and document automation standards, governance, and best practices; provide guidance and knowledge transfer to delivery teams.
- Troubleshoot production and test issues, perform rootcause analysis, and implement improvements to reliability, scalability, and compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8-10 years of experience in automation engineering, with significant handson work in IAM and cloud automation.
- Strong expertise in developing automation solutions for IAM services using PowerShell, .NET, and Bicep, including certificate lifecycle, user/object management, B2B, Entra, and Active Directory workflows.
- Proven ability to manage endtoend automation lifecycles, integrate solutions across environments, and collaborate with product, QA, and operations teams for seamless deployment into production.
