divh2Maintenance Technician/h2pSBM Management is currently looking to hire a Maintenance Technician to join their team! The Maintenance Technician performs facility maintenance requirements. Keep assigned areas clean and in an orderly condition. Work successfully with co-workers, customers, contractors, and others. Understand and follow instructions, both verbal and written. Understand instructions for task using basic communication skills./ph3Responsibilities:/h3ulliComply with safety and environmental rules, policies, and procedures. Stop at risk behavior of others and self./liliPerform work assignments in a team with other employees./liliMaintain logs and schedules./liliReplace or repair plumbing fixtures, i.e. faucets, sinks, garbage disposals, hot water dispensers, drinking fountains, and toilets./liliPressure washing./liliRe-lamping or replace light bulbs/tubes./liliReplace ceiling tiles, paint and patch, work with caulks, lubricants, and adhesives./liliEmergency eye wash shower maintenance./liliFloor tile, raised floor tile, and carpet repair maintenance./liliFire sprinkler and extinguisher maintenance./liliMaintenance on compactors and/or balers./liliMake and install signs./liliBasic air handler maintenance (filter replacement)./li/ulh3Qualifications:/h3ulli2+ year maintenance in a company environment or equivalent experience and/or training, such as basics in plumbing, painting, HVAC, or construction is required./liliPrefer H.S. diploma or GED or equivalent combination of training and experience./liliCompleted all safety, environmental and task training certifications./liliAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety and environmental rules, equipment operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals./liliAbility to speak effectively to customers, co-workers, contractors, and team members./liliAbility to apply good judgment when carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form./liliAbility to deal with problems involving changes in standardized procedures and situations./liliAbility to learn the operation and care of equipment./liliRecognize and understand safety signs and building warning systems./liliUnderstand safety requirements. Understand meet company handbook expectations./liliValid Drivers license with clear MVR./liliForklift and electric pallet jack certification may be required./liliAbility to use hand and power tools, such as hammer, screwdriver, pliers, power drill, saws, roto-hammers and grinders./liliUse of scissor lifts and working on ladders and scaffolding. Soldering and welding a plus./liliExperience painting walls, experience doing patch and paint projects./liliExperience attaching fixtures to walls./liliSome plumbing experience preferred./liliAbility to use and maintain floor equipment: Side-by-Side, scrubbers, extractors, etc.../li/ulpCompensation: $18.00-$21.00 per hour Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm/ppSBM Management Services, LP and its affiliates are proud to be equal opportunity workplaces.
