The Pronto Delivery Sr Manager, will serve as support in the planning, coordination, and operational execution of Satellite and Fleet initiatives within the Pronto network. Ensure market qualification, dock setup, and fleet utilization align with business goals and service timelines. Ensure that cross-docking systems adhere to all FSQA requirements as well as SOPs and safety protocols. Support all Pronto initiatives as needed. Operational problem-solver for end-to-end execution for Pronto satellite deliveries. This role will partner with operational and region routing leaders to ensure tactical execution aligns with strategic priorities for balancing overall market delivery parameters across Pronto and BLD delivery types.

This position is remote with up to 75% travel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Satellite - "Qualify Markets"
    • Assess whether shuttle yards can support required dock sizes.
    • Collaborate with local managers to determine if a portable or mobile dock is needed.
    • Act as a liaison between markets and Real Estate office, landlord when needed and other functions within the company.
    • Obtain electrical quotes and coordinate installation needs.
    • Calculate shuttle turns and timing in coordination with Transportation.
    • Secure all approvals including market leaders, Real Estate, FSQA, Pronto Sr. Managers and VP Pronto
  • Dock Vendors
    • Coordinate portable or mobile dock installations, including location setup and deployment timelines.
    • Work closely with vendors on site-specific details and requirements.
    • Continuously source and evaluate dock vendors to ensure quality, availability, and competitive pricing.
  • Safety
    • Responsible for the analysis and implementation of all necessary safety features of the cross-docking solution
    • Coordinate the addition of safety enhancements with the vendor, landlord, Transportation and Facility Management
  • Fleet Management
    • Conduct ongoing audits of truck utilization to ensure optimal deployment.
    • Present truck needs and recommendations to the team based on utilization data.
    • Monitor truck distribution and alignment with registration and tag assignments.
    • Manage van distribution and needs across recovery markets.
    • Track and balance "fleet counts" between Fleet Asset Management System (FAMS) and Pronto Fleet to maintain accuracy and readiness.
  • Supports enterprise projects regarding Pronto and Delivery efficiency initiatives.
  • Collaborates across SC Ops. Excellence and field stakeholders to address field-escalated process issues or area-level end-to-end operational process gaps.
  • Brings an executional and end-to-end process mindset to drive and align projects and initiatives with field operational targets including but not limited to Pronto satellite execution.
  • Commits and contributes to a major cultural shift to activate continuous improvement-led business impact.
  • Operate as an effective action-oriented, analytical problem-solver to alleviate Supply Chain field issues and escalations in an urgent and timely manner.
  • Responsible for key business results, including but not limited to, Pronto initiatives.
  • Establish cadences for connecting with field teams in aligning key execution initiatives impacting key results, including but not limited to, Pronto elements.
  • Facilitates calls with market operation's teams to ensure alignment on goal metrics and achievement of same.
  • Responsible for deep comprehension of weekly/monthly ops leakage in the field across key results, including but not limited to, inventory adjustments and quality elements.
  • Accountable for improving key results, including but not limited to, Pronto initiatives.
  • Responsible for ensuring FSQA and SOPs are strictly adhered to across end-to-end operations, including but not limited to, Pronto initiatives.
  • Responsible for driving a safety mindset and ensuring protocols for methods to execute operations safely across various team members.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager and Pronto VP.

RELATIONSHIPS
  • Internal: Marketing, Commercial, Fleet Management, SC Ops Exc. Leadership, Region Routing Leadership, Region/Area/Market Leadership, Operations Managers and local teams across Supply Chain and other functions.
  • External: Dock Vendors, Third Party Consultants, domicile landlords
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Remote: This role is fully remote, and the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a home-based environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Supply Chain required.
  • Requires up to 75% travel.
  • Action Oriented: Demonstrates initiative and urgency to collaborate with field stakeholders to analyze and solve escalated field Supply Chain issues.
  • Customer-centric with a bias for action: Demonstrates thought partnership and a value creation mindset with both internal and external customers and possesses a bias for action.

    • Data gathering and assessment including application of statistical principles.
    • Problem-solving facets such as hypothesis development, qualitative and quantitative data gathering and use, solution development, and impact analysis.
    • Technology tools such as spreadsheets, common reporting tools, etc.
  • Catalyst for Change: Strong problem-solver who implements short and long-term solutions and demonstrates impact and in turn shows ROI of a continuous improvement mindset and its impact over time.
  • Relationships: Develops and maintains field relationships through on-site visits to identify opportunities and drive impact across Pronto elements within US Foods areas and regions.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or in another relevant field, or equivalent experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in continuous improvement in a Supply Chain setting or consulting environment exclusive of day-to-day operational experience
  • Strong continuous improvement pedigree; Prefer Green Belt certification in Lean / Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Project management training or certifications (e.g., PMI, PMP).

This role is eligible to receive an annual incentive plan bonus up to 25% of base salary.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between
$100,000 - $160,000
