Traveling Nuclear Medicine Tech

Description:

Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled nuclear medicine technologist to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team. The technologist will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and operate radiation detection and imaging equipment to support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Minimum Requirements An associate or bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology. State license and certification to practice nuclear medicine in the state of assignment. Current BLS certification. 2 years' experience as a nuclear medicine technologist. Experience with gamma cameras and SPECT imaging acquisition and processing. Ability to perform radiopharmaceutical preparation and safe handling of radioactive materials in a hospital environment. Willingness to participate in on-call rotations, including weeknight and rotating weekend call as required by the facility (client-specific requirement). Preferred Qualifications Experience in an acute care hospital setting. Familiarity with PET imaging procedures. Advanced certification or ARRT(N) registration preferred. Assignment Details Shift hours: 07:00–15:30. Includes one weeknight on-call rotation and a rotating 5th weekend call requirement.
