Meter Technician Wichita, KSTruCheck Metering Solutions is hiring Entry-Level Field Technicians (ERT Technicians) for immediate openings. In this role, you will be responsible for replacing gas meter modules and completing assigned field service orders. Employees will report to the Park City/Wichita-area office each day, receive their assigned inventory and daily route, and then safely complete work orders using a company-provided vehicle, tools, equipment, and procedures. Step-by-step training is provided to help you become comfortable with the work, understand expectations, and successfully perform your responsibilities.Position Type: Contracted positionProject Duration: Through April 2027Location: Park City/Wichita, Kansas areaWork Schedule: Employees report to the office dailyCompany Vehicle: Provided for daily use, including pick-up and drop-offTraining: Comprehensive training providedTools & Equipment: All necessary equipment providedRequired Personal Items: Employees must provide work pants and over-the-ankle work/hiking bootsKey Responsibilities:Complete daily assigned tasks safely, accurately, and efficiently while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.Plan and organize daily work assignments and routes efficiently.Follow all safety rules, company policies, procedures, and work instructions.Interact professionally, respectfully, and courteously with the public, customers, and client personnel.Accurately complete work orders, task reports, and other required documentation in a timely manner.Properly use, inspect, protect, and maintain assigned tools, equipment, and company vehicles.Safely operate handheld tools and equipment required to complete meter-related work.Education & Experience:Technical aptitude or previous technical training is a plus.Strong common sense and a dependable work ethic.Comfortable using computers and smartphones.Ability to read maps and navigate assigned routes.Ability and willingness to learn and use hand tools and field equipment.Requirements:Must successfully complete all required Operator Qualification (OQ) training and testing related to meter work and meter reading.English-speaking proficiency is required for effective communication and completion of safety and training requirements.High school diploma or GED required.Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening prior to hire.Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.Must be physically able to bend, squat, walk, and use handheld tools throughout the workday.Must be willing and able to work outdoors and travel throughout the assigned service area.Benefits:Medical, Dental & Vision Plans401(k)Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid HolidaysCompany Vehicle for Daily UseProfessional Development & TrainingWages On-Demand / Cash Advance OptionStarting Pay: $24.25 per hour$0.50 per hour raise after 60 daysWhy Join TruCheck Metering Solutions?
